Just because

I already have that love--that gentle, understanding and kind love. The love that is worth trying and fighting for. But then, life is not that easy for me. I always have to work hard--just like in career, and love, and friends.

I don't want it to be hard. I want my life to be easy. I don't want to dwell on problems and disappointments. I want to focus on the easy stuff--on the great joys in my life--genuine, unsolicited love. I will always do my best. I deserve the best.

Life should be all smiles--smiles of gratitude and excitement.

I am thankful for friends from around the world because they give me ideas of what goes on that part of the world. I hope I'll have many more friends from around the world.

You are absolutely right, life should be all smiles.

I grew up believing that this was what people wanted, that this was the norm, that the stories of pain and suffering and injustice I heard where the offspring of an Age of Ignorance. An Age of Ignorance that was dying now that we had universal education - no longer would people live in the darkness of the lies taught by the elite. Ours would be a new and enlightened generation.

Sadly, it seems this is not the case.

The Internet is a great example. For me, it brings me in contact with all sorts of people all over the world (well, limited to people who speak English). It broadens my horizons and experiences. Yet ... there are many people who find the Internet a great place to form enclaves of ignorance, prejudice and bigotry. It is sad that when people are given the opportunity to grow they choose to reject it.

Don't worry Jassy, life is still good.Ü It doesn't matter if we encounter bumps along the way, what's important is that we don't stop. Anyways, we always encounter great people on the way.
